Spring Shadows - new giclee print

Our Spring event this year is going to be really special. The resident artists at the Hearth, including me, are joining forces with Network Artists North East to put on a spectacular display.

Open 10am to 4pm on Sat 18th & Sun 19th May

The Hearth is situated in the village of Horsley (the church buildings), Northumberland, 10 mins from the A1. Postcode NE15 0NT

20 Artists

Our guest artists will be transforming the hall and reception area, and the resident artists are re-arranging their studios to show their newest creations. There are 20 exhibiting artists and craftspeople in total. You can see them all here.

New originals - never been seen before

I'll be there all weekend to chat and answer your questions. I'll have some brand new originals that have never been shown before plus work in progress that will give you a real insight into how I create my pictures. For my email subscribers, I'm offering a £20 discount voucher on all prints. Sign up before 15th May 2019 and you'll receive one just in time.

A warm welcome

Have you ever been to the Hearth and found some of the studios closed? An artist's life is full of comings and goings so we can't always be there, but for this special weekend, we guarantee that everyone will be present with their studio doors wide open to welcome you! We have a new resident artist joining us for her first Hearth fair: Jessica Kinnersley. She makes the most exquisite textile pictures.

Local talent

The quality and variety of the work on display will be huge with paintings being well represented this year. All our artists and craftspeople are based in the North East so you can be sure that, if you make a purchase, you are supporting home grown local talent. You never know, you might find that perfect artwork to go above your mantle-piece!

Just a card

It will be a good time to stock up on greetings cards - I'll have a wide range available in my studio and several of the other artists have beautiful cards, too. If a lot of people buy something small, like a card, you will make a big difference to the artists' livelihoods.

Enjoy the atmosphere

The Hearth has a wonderful atmosphere thanks to it's historic buildings and village location. During our fairs, it really buzzes with life and conversation! You can enjoy refreshments in the old manse where the cafe is situated. We're hoping for fine weather so you can sit out in the garden to enjoy delicious food all made on site.

Good conversation

Above all, it's the perfect time to meet the makers, ask your questions and enjoy interesting conversation without feeling you're interrupting anything - we're there for you! This will be a great cultural weekend - come and be inspired!

Free Entry

Entry is free and there will be a parking attendant on duty to guide you to a place (give our car park a go - people assume it will be full so sometimes it's half empty!)

Hope to see you there!
