I created 'Guardians' using a mix of magenta, ochre, and payne’s grey. It features a cat and thistles in a stylized way, set against a garden gate. I enjoyed working with these simplified forms and the layers of colour and texture to build something that feels grounded and natural. This art print has a quiet simplicity, which I hope captures the feeling of a peaceful garden scene.
 
The original for this print was an acrylic painting with collage. I use a wide variety of techniques to create the lines and textures. The collage papers were also hand-painted.
